So let me begin the story of Moglet number 2, so far. Moglet no. 2 (so named to protect his identity - well, a bit !) is the one blessed with this thing called Dyspraxia. Or if you are up to date and modern, Developmental Co-ordination Disorder (DCD). Or if you are living in the dark ages Clumsy Child Syndrome.
But my Moglet number 2 is so much more than a label. He has the best sense of humour, ever. He and I laugh at the same things constantly. The joy on his face when I introduced him to Blackadder and Monty Python made me weep. He has tremendous empathy and loyalty. He will fight like a lion for the underdog, and like cat-and-dog with his siblings! When something interests him he will grab it with both hands and own it. If something's boring, it's probably boring forever. Snap judgements can be his speciality, we are working on it!!! Like many of his peers he has a 'bordering on unhealthy' obsession with all things screen related; working on that too! He has a temper like The Hulk, without the green thing and he harbours a unexplained, yet unrivalled love for Okapis.
He is our Moglet number 2 and we love him dearly.
If you like linear, a life that moves forward in a smooth, organised way, without ups and downs, bumps and curves then Moglet number 2 probably ain't for you!
But...If you can open your mind and appreciate the quirky, the spontaneous...
If you don't mind roller coasters with hidden dips...
If you like to laugh and aren't afraid to cry ( and sometimes shout and scream)...
Then welcome to our world.
